What is AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia)?
AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal cells that build up in the bone marrow and blood and interfere with normal blood cells.
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms may include feeling tired, shortness of breath, easy bruising and bleeding, and increased risk of infection.
Is there any treatment for AML?
The overall cure rate for all people with AML (including the elderly and those unable to tolerate aggressive therapy) is likely lower.
Is there any research for a cure?
There is research for a cure but not alot and is the reason for this event. We are rasing funds for better research for all those diagnosed or living with AML.
